Moving from Excel or Google Sheets to a CRM
A spreadsheet is a fine start. It stops working when it cannot tell you who to call today.
Signs you have outgrown the sheet
- You find a lead from three weeks ago nobody called back.
- Bookings are in one place, enquiries in another, payments in a third.
- Two people edit the sheet and overwrite each other.
- You cannot tell who agreed to receive your newsletter.
Moving into CoachKeep
- Export your sheet as CSV.
- Import it. CoachKeep shows rows with errors and rows that look like people you already have.
- For each possible duplicate, choose: create, use the existing person, or skip. Nothing is merged without you.
- Commit. If it looks wrong, undo the whole import.
After the move
Each imported enquiry becomes a lead with a next step, so the first Today list already shows who to call. Your data stays yours: export it whenever you want.
